I heard that the best combination is HKS RS suction pipe + Apex'i cone filter attached (interms of airflow + filtration). But I'm not sure if it is worth paying twice the products from other big brands like AMS, Buschur, ETS. You have to buy the whole RS kit which includes the mushroom filter, and the whole Apex'i kit which includes the metal shields, and that would add up to about 450-500 brand new.

I've got the Buschur- it's great- sounds good, but do yourself a favor and get a tune with it.

Put my ARC intake in myself a few days ago and loving the sound and response I get when pressing the gas pedal!!! Very easy to install and no tune need. I have a BOV but with this intake there's no need for you hear everything as it is. I decided to go away with the cone intake because it seems everyone else has one. This intake is a little more $$$, but well worth it. There is a seller on eBay 'tuneshop' who sells them with a Buy It Now price of $454.50 with Free S&H, but I put in a best offer of $350 and it was automatically accepted, so if you don't have one you may get it a little cheaper then I did. There is also a How To install this intake in the How Tos section if you're as mechanically inclined as I am.

^ Do you know about the maintenance on the ARC filters? At what interval do they need to be changed out and are they dry type?

They said every 5k, but all depends on the condition. The filters are about $70, so they are a little pricey. Not sure what you mean by dry tape?

Oh okay, its not too bad, sounds just a bit pricey at most. But the filters are the red pieces with ARC logo printed on them correct? And I meant dry type as in do you need to lube up the filter with oil before you put it on, or do you just directly install the filter?(which would make it dry I believe)
