like valvetap said, there are many different things between RS and GSR versions, but the main difference IMO is the weight reduction done to RS version.

This again?

2003
VIII - 271 hp, 273 lb.-ft, HIDs, viscous center LSD, mechanical rear LSD

2004
VIII - same as 2003
RS - no HIDs, no power accessories, no radio, no wing, no center console, no ABS, black unpainted mirrors and door handles, but adds front helical LSD, aluminum roof and triple gauge pack

2005
VIII - 276 hp, 286 lb.-ft, adds front helical LSD and ACD, but no more HIDs
RS - same as VIII but lacking the same stuff that the 2004 RS lacked and including the stuff it added
SSL - same as VIII but adds HIDs, sunroof, leather and 315W audio system
MR - same as VIII but adds 6-speed transmission, triple gauge pack, aluminum roof, zero-lift kit, forged BBS wheels, Bilstein shocks, HIDs

2006
IX - same as 2005 VIII but with MIVEC, now rated at 286 hp and 289 lb.-ft, different front bumper, smoked headlights, smoke taillights, hollow carbon fiber wing, different interior (leather/alcantara fabric), aluminum pedals
RS - same as IX but lacking the same stuff that the 2005 RS lacked and including the stuff it added; no aluminum pedals
SSL - same as IX but adds HIDs, sunroof, leather and 315W audio system
SE - same as IX but adds HIDs, deeper front lip, aluminum roof, red interior stitching, forged BBS wheels in diamond black finish (introduced mid-year)
MR - same as IX but adds the same stuff that the 2005 MR added
MR SE (referred to as such, though officially just called the MR with the Appearance Package) - same as MR but adds deeper front lip, red interior stitching and diamond black finish for its standard BBS wheels (introduced mid-year)

he summed it up perfectly for you..also read ALOT on evom's forums. this is were i learned everything about evos. and www.ccdsm.net is were i learned everything about dsm's. also when u do get an evo or any car, its all trial and error. if it doesnt work the first time, try again another way until it is right. but these cars r a blast and r alot of fun to work on. good luck, you can pm me anytime if u have any questions
