Apexi Power Intake or ARC Induction Box

Hey guys,

I'm torn between two intakes, and I'd just like EvoMs opinion on which intake I should get. I know they both perform well and all, I just cant make up my mind though. Either I get the Apexi Power Intake with the induction box or I get the ARC induction box. The prices are nearly the same with ARC slightly being a little bit more expensive. Also, any comments or reviews on these products would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance EvoM.

It depends what you want power or looks. If its about that extra jdm get the arc (it has the wow factor). Either way cant go wrong with any of the two.

Ps alot of people would flame you for spending the extra money spent, but its your car your call.

Apexi makes the best filter in the market so you can't go wrong there. ARC on the otherhand makes parts thats are over-priced with no proven gains.

Stick with the stock box, and just replace the filter for better one! Sue the leftover money for a tune!

Bump for more opinions!

Edit: Does anyone know about the maintenance of the ARC filter? Because I know the Apexi Power Intake is a maintenance free dry filter.

I say ARC. It has more of a baller status to it, and ARC takes really good care to ensure your engine gets the coolest air possible.

Dejon Tool intake pipe and stock box with drop in like chu said. Save for a tune or tune it yourself. I guess its all what your looking for looks or performance. Attack your exhaust 1st if you haven't already (read o2 housing back)...

I love my Apexi. It's really not expensive. I payed $100. Sounds great, looks great, filtration is great. ARC IS expensive and not worth it IMO. And anyone who is stressing over the money spent on a $100 cone filter prolly should not have bought an evo...

The ARC doesn't come short of deliverying power, it responds well out of the box and with a tune. What the ARC gives you that the others don't is looks. Haven't seen any dyno #s of the ARC and Apexi comparison, but IMO if you have the money go with the ARC for the power, sound, and looks. If you don't have the money and want a great bang for your buck then go with the Apexi.
