A complete Injen kit (intake, licp, uicp) will cost you less than an ARC induction box. I know several people whom have run the Injen kit with great results.

Keep the stock box and get a drop in filter. There is no need for anything else unless you have some major upgrades on the car like a big turbo that requires more air volume.

Don't know about you, but I'd never take the word of a 6'+ ~250lb guy who wears a G-String

I have an ARC and I love it. The only problem I had was not doing enough research before I bought it. I recently put in a purchase for an ETS 3.5" intercooler kit with lower and upper piping with stock batter. A few days after I placed the order I found the upper pipe for the stock battery doesn't fit with the ARC intake, so I had to change my order to a mini batter with the short route pipe, but even that wasn't guaranteed to work. Thankfully an EvoM member put up his ARC upper pipe for sale over the weekend and I grabed it , so no worries. So my word of advice; make sure to do your homework on what you're looking to buy to see if it fits with what you have or you plan on getting.

ETS Evolution 8 and 9 Intake

Thanks for considering an ETS intake, we have seen gains from 10-20hp depending on the boost level and engine modifications.

Here is a link to all the info on our intake. If you need any help let me know!

Used to have the HKS suction and it performed real well. Switched to the ARC and absolutly loved the performance and absolutly everything about it.

Perrin Performance Intake is a very good one. I have no complaints having it on my evo 8. Turbo spools a lot quicker and it all comes with the necessary parts!

Why would anyone buy an intake from a non Evo-specific vendor who hasn't tested and refined the product over the course of years to perform optimally on Evos just like ours? Are you guys going for looks, a consensus with little regard for performance, or just a brand name?

Call me silly, but I'd rather buy a filter that doesn't make my car run less than perfectly and that has proven gains. Have a look at intake dynographs if you're at all interested in an upgrade and not just a mod for the sake of installing an aftermarket part.

FWIW, Buschur and AMS are the two options to consider if performance is the goal. Hell, Buschur (as an example) sells a filter kit for ~$80 that won't make your car run like sh/t and has documented gains, even without a tune. If you're solely interested in totally superficial bling and/or PPSHHHHTTTT sound, please ignore my comments.

I was thinking about ARC, but I looked at the maintenance for it and its just too much. After both filters get dirty, the replacement filters are $75 a pop. So thats $150 for the two filters on the induction box.
