Mufflers

Hey everyone, im looking in purchasing a muffler for my car. i was thinking of getting either a megan racing m-specII or apexi N1. just curious to hear what you guys have and any suggestions. Thanks

Yea the sound is pretty much the same...
I'm going to put the silencer in because I don't like that loud of a noise.

lol. does it work with teh stock exhaust piping of the lancer or would you have to get get custom piping. sorry for the questions, im a newb

silencers...sound like crap!!! i put mine on my catback the other day and it farted constantly...I have an N1 styl muffler with the catback and OBX high flow cat.

But you are going to need a 2.4" inlet so that means you need custom piping.
I'm just going to take mine to a shop and give them the can.

I don't know but I'm taking it to a mom-n-pop shop which is cheap but fairly good quality.

I wouldn't recommend the silencer.... From my experience, if that muffler is anything like my N1 it is not going to be that loud... Plus I think the car sounds like absolute crap with a silencer in there. Also, any power gains you may have had from opening the exhaust a little will be extinguished...

btw, I'm from a small town originally with only one shop. I got my custom 2.25" catback piping made and welded onto my muffler for like $50. I'm happy with it...

I would say save the cash and try and find a deal on a greddy catback or magnaflow!
