which cams

I plan on upgrading to the fp red turbo soon. What cams would be the best choice for that set up. I want to have good driveablity with the cams. I can get a good deal on a pair of HKS 264's. will they be a good choice??

If you want power + good idle driveability go with the Cosworth 272 or Kelford 272. I suggest you check out the AMS cam test tread .

Yea i looked at that test but they didnt use the 264's so i couldnt compare them. if there isnt much of a difference between the 272's and the 264's then i may as well save money and get the 264's.

I have both the GSC S2's and the HKS 272's but im using the HKS right now...good drivability and good power on stock turbo so if your going bigger turbo go bigger cams!

I just recently had ams install a set of Kelford 272 cams, and I love the top end power that they make it pulls hard. I had good power gains from these cams and can't wait to see the power I get once I up grade the turbo.

Not only do companies not use a uniform policy on measuring cams, all 272s, 264s, 280s are not the same. The Kelford/ Cossie 272s are more aggressive than the HKS 272s. Something like 11mm lift compared to 10.3? Im not totally sure what the exact difference is, the point is that cam measurements on lift and duration are not consistent and you cannot necessarily compare that way. From what I have read, I will be going with Kelford 272s when I get a FP red turbo.
