Obviously you are a biased person who thinks your opinion is superior to all. I personally prefer the vii front over the 9.Always have and always will. What can I say Im a fan for the bumper ducts versus the little oval circles on the 9. I dont care what 9 front I see Ill never be swayed away from my viii.And in my defense:

My favorite evo 8 front end on the forums......Ok so he did cut out the nose.Got me there.Just seems like the 8 front has more intercooler exposure.

If you plan to mod it go with the 05 VIII. People say the IX has a better stock turbo which is true but I dont know how many people max out the stock turbos versus purchasing a new turbo or what not but id have to say its an addiction so youll prolly end up getting a new turbo lol

 

evo 9 got a better flowing head than the evo 8.It all depends wait you're trying to do with though.

 

You must have a small circle of friends cause you're nuts! The 9 is hands down worlds better looking! How many 8 to 9 conversions do you are than 9 to 8?

 

I say go with what you think looks better and what makes you happier. I have read numerous times the the evo 8's are more performance friendly on the motor and tranny compared to the 9's. I hear with the 9's u need to get a 5 speed if you want to go over 400+hp because the 6 speed had week trannys or something. I have a 2003 8 and love it. No problems what so ever except for brake squeeks! I have changed them twice now....
