Hey guys, I've had my 04 STi for about two years now. I've been all over NASIOC and IWSTi. I joined this forum to learn more about evos and the evo community.

I've been pretty light with the mods on my STi. I have an HKS hi power catback coupled with an Invidia catless DP. Blitz SUS intake and a Cobb Accessport Stage 2 Protune by Agile Automotive in Maryland. Made 333awhp and 325 awtq on a dynapack. Thinking about a 20g, upgraded TMIC, and EWG in the future. So yeah, thats me.

I hope the people on this forum are easier going than the ones on Nasioc

Most of the guys on Nasioc are guys with small weiners, so they buy a STi to make up for it.

That is nice power you got there on the stock turbo. I was thinking about an STi before I got my evo, but evos are much easier to make go fast.

Welcome man, I saw an 04 STI today and I forgot how beautiful they are!

And how great they rumble.

 

I must admit that I wish the Evo's sounded as good as the Suby's.

 

Haha I wonder if when the subaru engineers designed the headers for the H engines they said "Weren't these supposed to be equal length?"

Then they started the car and just stood there listening for like 10 minutes and decided unequal length would do fine.

 

I love the sound of subys.

 

Personaly they sound like someone put bannana in the tailpipe not a subi fan they drive like a old ladie's car no race feel at all.

 

I agree with you to some point actually. Subaru has many more models than Mitsu in the states and you see a lot of old ladies driving foresters and 2.5is which you could say are slow. However I think recently, since the STi came out in America, models like the Forester and Legacy have gotten pretty high performing engines. I think the fact that subaru made a lot of slow cars some years ago gives them more of a "regular car" image. When I hear mitsubishi, I basically only think of an Evo.

Or a sweet Eclipse. I drove my buddies 07 sti with aftermarket launch control. Thing was pretty sick.

welcome, before I bought my Evo--I test droved the 08 STI and boy was it smooth! The clutch was easier to handle than the Mazdaspeed 3. Honestly, I decided on the Evo because of the appearance, the new STI looks more like a family car instead of a racing car. Some may not agree and that is ok.
