2.3 will spool the turbo faster than the 2.0 but the 2.0 will rev higher...don't know any specifics about the evo strokers but that's a general rule for any stroker kit...

personally, when i get out of warranty, i'm gonna build a 2.0 and rev to 9k...used to have an rsx and that revved to 9k on stock block/head so there's definitely a bit of honda still left in me haha.

it's all personal preference though

Thanks! with the 2.3 spooling faster and the 2.0 rev higher, i'm thinking the 2.3 has more torque rite!

I would go 2.0 for sure the 2.3 just doesn't have enough in it , just my .02

yes more displacement = more torque so the 2.3 > 2.0 in terms of torque but you're gonna be shifting probably less than 7k...or less...or more? anybody with a stroker wanna chime in?

ring , I'm not impress with the stroker and the short power range just too short I've seen 2.0 make almost as much power/tq as my 2.3 just not worth it.

depends on the turbo you're going to be running and the use of the car. 2.0 for higher rpms, 2.3 for higher torque.

again it's all up to you...you've heard both sides...

but if it were up to me, being a rev junkie, i'd keep the 2.0

A 2.3 will spool the 35r a little faster but since your still shifting around 7,500 the power band is limited....with a built 2.0 you can shift until 9,200 all day long.

So what if you gain 500rpm earlier in the power band...you will loose 1,700 worth on the top end where you need it. Believe me when you have significant power (over 500whp) your shifting so fast even 9,000rpm seems like its not enough.

Stay built 2.0. My 2 cents.

Hey guys,

i personally chose a 2.3ltr stroker as most of my driving is speed limited. i prefer the pwr down low and i shift alot in the city. i tend to shift @ 3k. i had an R34 previously so i do miss the low down tq. honestly i dont use the evo to its full potential. havent gone pass 5k and i cant say i would ever need to.

for street use, the 2.3 seems best but if your into drag racing then the 2.0 is better. another thing to consider is if you live in a high elevation area, then the extra rpms gained in spool can be a benefit. where i live, a 2.3 spools like a 2.0 at sea level, so a gt35 spools at around 5k and on a 2.0 around 5.5k so it would not be a fun set up unless your drag racing. ive actually thought about changing my 2.3 to a 2.0 so i can rev to 9-9.5k but the late spool of a gt35r sized turbo is whats making it hard for me to switch.
