so ive seen more than 1 intake that says it fits both evo 8s and 9s. and ive seen some that just say 8 or 9. is there a difference, will an evo 8 intake fit on an evo 9. thanks for your advice in advance

 

No difference in VIII vs IX intake.

There is no difference in the intake itself, but there is the ACD reservoir right beside it on the '05 and '06. This can get in the way of some intake systems, making them fit the VIII and not the IX.

 

oh ok, what about the k and n intake, its carb legal in cali and my hks isnt, ive gotten pulled over ecently and the cop was nice enough to ask me to just change out the intake to a carb legal one. and i dont like aem intakes, let me know. thanks guys

 

K&N have been troublesome for many. If you want the CARB exemption go AEM. Make sure you get the tune checked out its truly amazing what a different pipe design and filter will effect

 

will the k&n fit the 9 though? i no you said go aem, but i dont like theres. and i no they will see k&n and not give me crap for it. my brother has one on his mustang, and my oldest bother has had one on both his tacoma and his new tundra. so i want to get it but i wanna no if it fits first
