Thumbs up Bought my 06 IX RS yesterday

Good morning gents (and ladies), just picked up my Evolution IX RS yesterday after much debate and haggling, and I'm happy to say it's mine and mine alone now. Here's a few pics as it sits right now, I do plan to mod it quite a bit over time.

The RS is a little spartan for me. Definitely the most hardcore Evo owners are the RS boys and their crank windows and no sound deadening.

Yep I plan to ditch the wing, it's brand new, so hopefully someone will buy it for a decent price. I'd like to get the Rexspeed Type 1 CF decklid wing though.

What do most people do about the trunk holes when they remove the stock spoiler? Bondo and paint or are there good plugs available or what?

Oh, and I actually like the lack of amenities in my RS, I don't want it to make me forget about my Charger. If I had an MR then I might never want to drive the Charger again, this way when I want navigation and heated seats, I still have the Charger... and when I want to tear a new one in the pavement, I have the Evo. =]

Congrats on the car.

As for the holes, the trunk is metal, I really suggest not doing bondo. If you want to do it the right way you weld metal over the holes, have it sanded down and then the trunk painted.

Thanks, I'll wind up doing that then, or cf trunk. I like the contrast of cf with white, so I plan to do some of that. BC inverted coilovers, Rotas or 5Zigens, and basic bolt-ons plus tune is what I have in mind. And bushings up the wazoo, I want to tighten everything up as much as I can, starting with the shifter and the rear diff, that diff slap makes me uncomfortable.

I got mine from a dealer for $21,500, and I priced out a bunch of others for sale here on the forums starting at $20,500 to $23,500 OBO on all of them. There are a couple for sale rightnow, including the one for $20,500 on the forum here, and that one has a new clutch in it.
