today, i went to a private dealer for an evo 9. i didnt see the car, but it has 19k miles and there asking 23k. im gonna jump on it, but i gotta sell my rsx first, and tommorow im gonna test drive it. it has a clean title, 1 owner, and the color is a dark blue, which they say is a special color. my question is what kinds of noises, occurences should i look for when driving it? if its s good evo, and my rsx gets sold this week, im getting it.

That sounds like a good price from what you are describing. Good luck to you. Do a search on here for what to look for when buying an Evo.

one thing I would do is call a mitsu dealer and check if there are any open recalls on the car, they can also let you know what was previously done like oil changes and warrantee work.

I would also have it checked out at a mitsu dealership, shouldent cause you more than 100 bucks.

Do yourself a favor and have a PPI done by a professional at an Evo-specific shop. Not any import shop, but one what specializes on Evos. It is very common to see a car traded, because its owner screwed it up.

Er...blue is a "special color?" Huh?
