How you got your Evo

how and when did you get your evo ? tell me your story , if you have one ! whether you're 18 and your parents bought you one for your birthday, or you're 30 and have been saving for an evo for a long time ..

i'm 19 , i have been into cars for a little bit and i love evos and plan to have one, hopefully i can make it happen sooner than later, i just have to work hard.

Flipped a house.
Bought new in '05.
7K down.
Early last year, got tired of making payments. Paid it off.
Constantly saving for more mods.
Damn thing is like a black hole for $$$$$$$$$$.

Wouldn't trade it though

used to drive an srt sold it and 3 months later bought an evo, gotta look around alot to find the right one (if its used). work hard and you will have one i am also 19, but make sure you still have money in the bank after you buy it gotta have a back up if something does go wrong. lots of good deals going on too because of the economy dealers or owners will be happy if they can sell it.

Early high school graduation present when I was 17- Greatest day of my life. I'm 20 now, with another evo that I bought, and a camry.

I will NEVER get rid of either of them, unless I can get enough to buy another/more.

Had a project car 383W turbo mustang that I had been building on for about two years, but got bored with all the money it was consuming and how much more I'd have to spend to get it to run so I decided to part it out. I did...used some of the money from the cancelled project and bought a 98 Cobra with low miles...beautiful car. Did a lot of upgrades to it with the extra cash I had leftover. Then I came across an LS1 FD that I just had to have. Stuck another $9k with the cobra and got the rx7. The car was a blast, but little things just drove me away from it after about 6 months. Traded the Rx and $5k to another guy for his 15k mile 06 evo with an exedy twin disc, exhaust, intercooler, and a vivid racing tune and have been extremely happy ever since. Especially considering that I don't owe a dime on it. Now my transfer case is going out......more money to spend...awesome.

I started working at a restaurant as a busboy when I was 15, at 16 i got my license and six months later my parents bought me a 05 ralliart, six months after that I suffered a serious basketball accident that could have killed me, I realized that I never know when something like this would happen again so I decided to start looking for an evo IX, my dream car. I gave my dad the 15K that I saved up after 2 years of work and he bought the car cash for 23K. I got it when i was 17 and I finished paying him the 8K back already, i'm 18 now and driving a 400+whp evo, life is good.
