Even the Service at Mitsu steals money...

I have 1000miles on my X and wanted to get that break in oil changed out.i heard that it is not a bad idea to do that even thought theres only 1000miles.i went to rockville mitsu just to see how much it would me for an oil change.i also kept in mind that i hear terrible things about that places sales.now i can c their service is just as stupid.i asked the first dude i saw when i walked into the serivec dept how much an oil changed woudl be on my X. he told me it was about $110, and i told him go suck a ****.lol no i didnt but i did give him one of my gr8 facial expressions im told i have and asked y it was so much.his excuse was beacuse the evo's take fully synthetic oil bla bla bla.if u add up the 5w20 oil from any auto parts store it only comes up to about $30 and even a factory oil filter cost no more then $10 anywhere.so where the hell is the extra $60 comin from?dont tell my thats what u charge for labor cuz if it is u ppl r on illegal drug and need to be brought it.i went in lookin like the lil kid i am driving a 40k car(after financing and interest)lol.so was it becuz i look like a kid and he wanted to test my pockets? how freakin cares?cuz i dont, besides i went somewhere else and got it for about 50% less ha! forget Rockville mitsu!!!!

I was told the same price from a local dealer here in Cali. Guess you might want to just do the oil changes yourself.

I have noticed oil change prices going up at most dealerships, but I do agree 110.00 dollars is high for an oil change.

IDK how much oil the X's take but for my IX I spend about $35 on oil and $7 on an oil filter/crush washer. I simply change the oil myself, it only takes like 20 minutes. Im actually going to change my oil out tomorrow.

I just drop mine off at Autozone or where ever I bought the oil from. They should take it for free.

$35 in oil plus $10-$15 for a filter plus about 1/3 to 1/2 hr in labor. $110 sounds about right. I very highly doubt you got it for 50% less, ($55) for a full synthetic oil change.

i agree with under psi

even jiffy lube is $90
they are businesses, they are trying to make money off your needs.
pretty much standard that labor anywhere is about the same as parts if not more.
$50 in parts, $50 in labor.

granted, i only have to pay $40 at southcoast, but they are 80 miles from my house, so most of the time, i just pay for convenience

Did mine at 870miles on Monday since I was off. 5qts 5w-30 mobil 1 is 26 dollars at walmart. OEM filter and crush washer 8 dollars at the dealership. $34 bucks, compared to the $85 my dealer quoted.
