thinking about an evo x?
thanks everyone. yea i think im gonna go for it and try to get a used gsr with low miles, but first i have to try to sell my car. so if you know anyone that might be interested in an 04 twilight blue coupe with 40k on it let me know. thanks
go to your local dodge and test drive a used srt-4 to learn how to drive a 5spd, they have a rather forgiving clutch engagement.
it sounds like the evo is more suted to your preferances, but you should know how to drive a stick first.

it would have to be the MR to test drive. no way would the let a noob try to drive a manual performance car.
slightly off topic but funny....when i was selling my integra this guy was checking out my car for his son. he told me to go to a parking lot to test drive, and he didn't even know how to start the car...i grabbed the keys right out of his hand. then he admited not knowing how to drive manual, lol.

you are young luxo can wait till you get grey hair and the evo is more fun imo and is a grat 4season car. As far as learning stick I dont know what everyone is talking about but the evo is an easy car to learn stick on. its no harder than say a honda civic to learn on it just takes time and if u burn a clutch who cares upgrade to a better one if u are gonna mod anyway consider the stock cluth as something to teach u maual cars are not hard you will pick it up. The only thing ill say tho is test drive it you may not like how a turbo car feels to that feeling of a na motor its quite differant.
yea i know what a turbo car is like my mom has the 535xi, and once its get goin and the turbos spool up that thing moves, i cant even imangine what the evo is like. when it come to manual i drove my dads old store truck alittle and my dad said if i can drive that i can drive anything(only got into 3rd grear once), i also know how to drive motorcycles, i dont know if that makes a difference when it comes to a manual car. my friend also said he would let me drive his legacy so i guess i have some cars to learn on. but as soon as i can find a buyer for my car and talk my dad into giving me some money im gettin the evo x in white
I taught my oldest daugther how to drive in my Evo VIII. It was a little rough at first but she learned quickly, and my clutch was none the worse for wear. That's the way I did it when I was 16. I first learned how to drive with a manual transmission. The Evo X clutch is, IMO, a bit more forgiving than was the one in my VIII. So you should be fine.
