thinking about a x

i am looking for a new car and call me crazy, but it is down to an evo x gsr or fj cruiser. i know, i know. two totally differnt cars, but hear me out and help me make a logical choice.
i had 2 jeeps previously, loved em. for the past 4 years i've had a 03 wrx with cobb ap, loved it. I am a pretty mellow driver most of the time but like to drive spirited and love a car that handles well and is fun to drive. Everything about me says get the evo, however, i live in socal, surf about 3 times a week, cycle, and snowboard whenever i can. I also drive about 15k miles a year (it's a dd). So now i feel like maybe i should get something i can put all my gear in and won't mind loading miles on. (dont really wanna put racks on an evo).

i know you are all biased towards the evo (so am i), but what do you think?

The X; with it's aluminum roof might not like surf boards. No sunroofs available due to aluminum either. The X is a great car, you might have to give up surfing. lol.

It's a tough decision man, I can understand. Before I bought my Evo IX MR about 2 years ago, I test drove the FJ Cruiser and was considereing getting it.....But time and time again, my heart was set on the Evo. It comes down to what you will be the most happy with man. The FJ Cruiser is probably the coolest sport SUV around, but the Evo has and always will be a driver's car. If you absolutely love driving, then get the X GSR and you will not regret it. You will get much more satisfaction when driving the X compared to the FJ Cruiser. One of the guys above my post said that you could also consider the 08' WRX STi, and you could possible consider that car since it can probably manage your extra luggage unlike the Evo. The STi is also a very cool car even though it's a hatchback. Nevertheless, the Evo is a better, more fun driver's car than the STi. I would go for the Evo since that's what I did 2 years ago when I was in a similar position as you are in right now. I still am crazy about my Evo and I have absolutely no regrets!!!
