A Woman Driving An Evo X

A few years ago, I took my wife to Mitsu dealership to show her evo 9. She saw the car and said,

"Wow... This car looks so old! What year is it? 1985 or something?"

I said,

"Honey, it is a brand new car... It just came out a few days ago..."

She didn't believe me. So, she went to the car window, saw the sticker for her own eyes, and said,

"Unbelievable. This car just came out... with this crappy exterior and interior. And it costs $ 37,000. Honey, we are not here to buy this car, right?"

I had to say,

"Of course, honey... ;("

Time went by, and I happened to purchase 2011 Evo X MR, which looks little bit "Not-Out-Of-Date" than Evo 9; however, my wife still didn't like it at all UNTIL yesterday. I needed to take my other car to get window tinted and didn't have time to stay there while the car was being tinted. So, I asked my wife to drive the Evo and follow me so that I can come back home. She agreed... She got in the car and started following me. It was her very first time to drive Evo. We both drove about 15 good miles to get to the shop. I came out from my car and so did she. Do you know what she said right after she got out?

"Honey! I love this car! This car is so amazing! Now I understand why you love this car!"

I smiled and asked her. Anything else? She said, "(1) This car is fast, (2) The handling is great, (3) It stops very well, and (4) People kept on looking at me!"

I laughed and said, "That is my girl... Don't judge a book by its cover".

You guys understand what I am saying here, right?

I like how you say "a woman" as opposed to "my wife" haha

Come on guys, there are lots of women evo owners, I am one of them. My 2008 is fully modded and I have been into evo's since I was 16. Most women love my car, my mom and sister included. I am not surprised at all that your wife loved the car. Evo's are a girls best friend - not diamonds! Ok sorry I will get of my box now...

People think my Evo X is a bodykitted Lancer.. i.e. some regular cheap car.

I think it's funny :P

My wife remains indifferent to the Evo - she thinks it looks aggressive, and always tells me when she sees other Evo X's.. but doesn't know when she sees a Evo8/9.

aw dude, lol wtf... u can about always count on that women=kitchen joke <_<

But anyhow... yah DreamerAndy that's awesome lol... that's all EVERY Evo hater (dudes) and Evo dislikers (girls) need = one drive behind the steering wheel = Instant believers

My wife loved the Ralliart cuz she could drive it... now she's scared of driving my GSR cuz she thinks she's going to break something lol but I'm dying 2 teach her to drive the car properly so now you've motivated me to restart her driving lessons this weekend

Girls do look mad hot inside an Evo it's like you look at the car and it replies to you:

"Yes I'm a mean BAMF and look at the hottie that's driving me, you double-jelly? " haha!

my wife hates my X, she loved my STi. But I think it was that the STi had more torque, better transmission and a solid tune.

I think once the X has some mods and a tune she won't mind the X.

Although, when she drove the STi people would try to race her all the time on the freeway, in the X, people think it's just a Mazda and don't look twice, even when I see Evo 8 and 9 owners they don't realize I'm in an Evo >__<

I wish I knew this 2 years ago so I would've moved there while I had the evo...

That's why we buy the evo, that's why we mod it... The smile, the uncontrollable smile you get... the joy.
