this is a very stupid being that i have had my evo for bout a year now...but what does the button by the ebrake do/ mean

Yeah, more information needs to be told. Where on the e-brake is it located? Does it have a picture on it? Did you buy your car used or have you had it since it was new? A picture would also help a lot.

 

i think he means the intercooler sprayer.
does it say "auto/man" or something similar?

 

He has an 03 then it's the intercooler spray. Noone is that dumb to not know what the ebrake release is for.

its sprays water or whatever u out in the reservoir on your intercooler. i use to use it when i drove rally in my evo 4. lots of the older models and the sti's use to come with it. pretty cool feature. jus my .2 cents though.

when u hold it down in manual u can hear it spraying, the auto mode is suppose to spray based on certain parameters in the ecu i beleive but dont quote me. i jus use the manual mode mostly when i had my 03

 

I use to leave mine on auto. It sprays windshield wiper fluid on the fmic. U have to check the refill bottle every now and then. Auto is for automatic and manual is for every time u want it to spray.

 

It's pretty much useless being that mitsu dropped it out of the later models. Use the resevoir for meth and call it a day.
