Damn, so should my first mod be a...........

Well my Evo is still stock since i got it in June ... and I have been saving up some money to be able to mod my car like an exhaust and jdm bumper, however, recently I have been seeing several threads where theives have been breaking into evo owners cars and steeling their recaro seats etc etc ......

Now the questions are ... should my first mod be a really good security system ?? should I invest my money in that before modding anything ??? is it better to be safe then sorry ?? lolz....

any comments , criticism, questions, or concerns are very much appreciated ?
thanks

Only you can make that decision. Ask yourself:

What kind of area do you reside in?
Is it high in car theft/break-ins?
Do you park in a garage?
How often do you park your car in public?
Do you have goodies in your car (gauges, radar detector, head unit, etc)

Then once you make that decision, check this out:

Always better safe than sorry and you can't go wrong with getting a alarm system on your car.

Will keep your car and belongings safe, lower your insurance rates, and most importantly give you piece of mind.

I'd check this one out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2OQk3XjLPvU

hey leo! I was back and forth on getting an alarm for my car for a long time but its true it all depends on your area and where you take ur car to. Luckily for me, I live in a good neighborhood and everyday places i visit aren't bad as well so I decided to skip on the alarm. Sadly no matter what alarm you have, if someone wants your car or anything in it, they'll take it

i would put a security system in your car, check out Viper they make awsome products. Thats what im using and its awsome. All depends on where you live also.

By me kids love evos, sti's etc so by me having an alarm helps with lil dirtbags.

decide what direction youll go towards, power or handling or style. id say coils, wheels, exhaust should be your first. this is pretty typical

Well an alarm system is a good investment for the area your in. You maybe can send the info on your purchase to your insurance company to recieve a lower rate. Other than that consult our newbie faqs for more info on futur mods.

buy an alarm first before you "save" up for mods. if money is an issue for modding, try to hold off first as there are wearable parts of evo that might need to be replaced: pads, clutch, fluids, tranny oil, differential oil, tires etc.

My first mod was a JDM Bumper, then I got my Alpine DVD head unit. I say get the alarm if you think your neighborhood is unsafe.
