Unhappy HELP!!!! iNJEN CAI

wats up fellow evo drivers this is my first time posting
i bought a 2006 evo ix about a month ago with about 20,500 miles my dream car
anyways i bought the injen cai with the upper and lower intercooler pipes last week and finishes installing everything yesterday.
ever since i installed i noticed my evo is painfully slower even when i floor it it doesnt go as fast as it use to when it was completly stock
is that normal? do i need to break it in? or perhaps something is connected wrong? i have no clue
any comments are welcomed and appreciated if anyone has his intake system or had the similar problems thanks in advance
finally did i make the right choice in getting that intake system?

Not to sound like a smart *** but did you check to see if anything was in the piping before you installed it. Like paper or something.

do you have a boost gauge?.......if yes did you notice what you were boosting at before the install, and again now after the install, if you do not build the same amount of boost than you have a leak for sure.
Did the car feel slow right away......or after a while of driving, if the computer senses that it's running too lean it may have turned up the mixture.......

LOL, seriously, do a boost leak check. I did that when I installed my Nisei piping. Plus if you have a open CAI you're going to need a retune.

Like mentioned before you might have a boost leak, check all your clamps. Its either that or you might need a retune, if you get a retune might as well put some cams in while your at it, good luck..........

The stock air box is hard to beat from 0-60. it's after 60 where the injen cai will improve turbo response. i ran the injen cai and felt the same thing. once i got a re-flash then the injen cai responded better.
