Catback

OKAY! Im going to admit I need the evo to sound a little throatier. Im looking at a catback on ebay, and wanted to keep all the sensors in place so I dont set off any cel lights. In the picture in the link, what is the bung for on the pipe that bolts to the cat? I want to order it asap but dont want to mess around with cel fixes just a better toned muffler thanks all

its probably for an o2 sensor, if not then just go down to home depot and buy a bolt that not long that fits in it

The stock catback has a 02 bung also. Just swap the 02 sensor into the new catback

First off the cat back should not throw a CEL light. This typically happens when you put on a o2 housing, dp, tp, or hf cat. The fix for a cel from an o2 sensor is easy to fix though. The way I did it was I bought two spark plug anti foulers. I drilled out one with a big enough hole to fit the bottom of the 02 sensor (which is half a inch if i remember) and I screwed the o2 into the one anti fouler that was drilled out, and screwed that anti f into the one that I did not drill and then screwed the whole assembly into my cat. I pulled the negative terminal on my batt and the cell was gone.

Do yourself a favor next time use the search button, and think before you buy an ebay exhaust some are good some are bad. Do you really want to put that cat back on a 30000 dollar car?
