3" HFC---2.75" exhaust ?

Hello All,

I found the exhaust that I like the HKS but its a 2.75" and all other components are 3" Down pipe High flow cat. So my questions is is that .25" that big of a deal.

I did a search and didn't come up with anything. Let me know your opinions or if anyone is running this setup.

Cheers,

Nope, you won't need the 3" unless you are going to be stepping up to a larger turbo and going for big power, the 70mm will do just fine for even a marginal turbo upgrade and up to about 400-450whp. After that a 3" might give you a bit more gain.

the stock exhaust is pretty good, pipe the stock muffler kind of sucks, but a test pipe is definatly a good starting step, you'll find tons of gain from that alone.

I dont have anything to add, the above is correct, 2.75 is more than fine, when buying exhaust i usualy just buy 3" because, who knows? maybe I'll get crazy and put on a HUGE turbo later, plus 3" can sound a little deeper, which I like.

From what I have read (online, so take it for what its worth) the stock cat is pretty good. Going to a high flow cat wont get you that much hp. If you're going to upgrade its better to go with a test pipe. My .02
