These might be dumb questions but here we go. Do the Perrin 2" shorty antennas really screw up reception or what? Just asking before I buy. Second with a stock Evo 8 whats the highest octane gas I should use? Thanks for your time and sorry if this has been answered a thousand times.
perrin antenna, ive heard it does, but idk for sure, and oct. fuel. just depends on what your tuned for, if you tuned for 91, use 91 and no lower, if 93 then 93 and no lower, or 105 or 110. use no lower is what ive heard, but idk for sure, ive used 110 in mine, not a full tank, but ive used it and theres a noticable difference but i was tuned for 91 so it wasnt like omg more power, lol, i might not be right but these are things ive heard...
I have the 4 " perrin antenna with no signal loss at all and it looks great, not sure about the 2" one. As for the octane , always strive for 91 or higher. Only use lower octane fuel if you are in an emergency situation and have no choice, the evo is strong, so it wont die on one tank of sh^ttane.
There's a gas station near my house with 100 octane. If I used a mix of that and 93 would that hurt/help my Evo?
The 4" shorty does look good. I think I'll go ahead and get the 2" and if it screws it up too bad, well my birthday's next month so I'll finally spring for an Ipod.
I'll tell my wife its necessary.

2" perrin shorty antenna works fine for me. But then again if I happen to listen to the radio it'll be local radio. I'm sure if you wanna listen far away, keep the RC antenna
