Answering your former question..for a nasty idle, get cams. Though you'll def. have to get tuned for them. I'd recommend 272s and not 280s.

For your question about selling your AMS catback...I'd just keep it and buy a downpipe and test pipe. It would probably be cheaper that way and you'd basically have a TBE.

i was looking at a Megan Racing TBE, it's pretty cheap and the sound is great, around $639.99ish, and for cams, do you have any opinions on the best brand of cams? i heard hks 272s were good for DD, and what about headers? could you give me any information on them? best brand etc..? thanks.

For headers AKA manifolds on TURBO cars......you don't need them until you upgrade the stock turbo. The stock ones are great and are proven to make great power.

TTP is a good shop and will steer you in the right direction. I don't live anywhere near florida and I hear great things about them. Don't do anything to the car till you call or pay a visit to them. Like others said learn more about the car from these forums. I know your itching to mod and have fun but babysteps are nessary w/ this car.

cams are pricey and so is the labor. Just stick with a nice tbe, air filter, fuel pump, manual boost controler, and a boost gauge. then get it tuned for around 23 psi and the car will feel twice as agressive. that is all you need for a simple dd that is still trying to pull decent mpg.

Your best bet is to rack up the $$ while your reading/learning. Then, by the time your ready to buy, you'll have plenty of the "Evo Fund" to spend!
