Tips on first modification

What up people, question what brand and type of intake should I get for an evo 9 (se) I keep getting different opinions for example (Buschur, HKS,) and (Cold air or Short ram) Does it make a huge difference?

i dunno what your state laws are, AEM intake IMO, or i dunno if the ARC box fits the 9 or not, but i have had both on my VIII and both performed very well. i have the AEM on only because it comes with a C.A.R.B. sticker.

I would first recommend reading some of the stickies posted at the top of the Newbie section. There are different parts for different goals. Try this link out for size.

Apexi intake is one of the best for flow and filtration, it is a dry-type so it won't contaminate the Airflow sensor.
I use it with the HKS intake pipe.
However, exhaust should be first mod, than a full intake for best results.

So its not the best advice ever as I dont know if they even make intakes for Evos, but I have an Injen intake on my current Eclipse as well as had one on my GST and had great results with them.
