Boost psi?

Hi does anyone know what I can set my mbc at on a totally stock X GSR and still be safe? I think Im currently looking at 18 psi tappering to 15-14 at redline....I'm hoping thats an accurate reading.

I took a look again on the way to work and it does hit 20 then tappers off to 15-16...
Is it safe to raise my boost while totally stock? If so how much?

I also noticed that in first gear i boost to 20.5 psi and then in second I get to 22 psi...and then in third back down to 20.5 and they all tapper off to about 16...is it normal for it to jump around like gear to gear.

Do you have a wideband O2 sensor installed?

No, but you'll need a tune if you raise the boost much more.

1. Boost leak test (just in case, b/c it will f-up you tune even if it is small)
2. Tune

like everyone said, raising boost is useless without a tune.
