My dilemma.
My dilemma.
Well here is the issue, i cant get me a 2006 Evo like i wanted.
But a chance to get an 2003 for a cheap price caught my eye. Meaning i can have the car paid off in cash. No monthly payments hidden fees.
The car looks very clean, is roughly a few hour drive from me.
Now he explained to me the bad:
o2 sensor bad: I dont know how much an EVO has. But he said it needs to be replaced so it runs a lil sluggish now.
Car has 109k on it, he blew the motor at around 60k and have the paper work to prove that it was replaced so the new bottom end has around 49k on it.
The tranny has a SYNC ROLL problem , now ive googled every friggin page, searched EVOM a gazzillion times and no one seems to have this issue. He explained to me that on a hill its hard to get the car into reverse sometime. Doesnt matter to me.. florida is flat.
The plus: Title is clean, car is clean though its BBY but i dont care id paint it sooner or later to some honda color anyways lol. He never raced, tracked or launched the car, supposedly.
I will try and get a vin to autocheck and then go at it from there. The brakes are fading but i can paint those no prob. I wouldve jumped on it if he told me it had 70k and never blew the motor, the o2 is fine and there is no sync roll issue, even if there is such a thing. But im just debating at the moment, car is super clean though.
I dotn want to purchase and then find out its more then an o2 and the sync roll was the tranny syncros going bad.

I think you heard wrong. Not sure there is a "sync roll", but there are "synchros" . . . like here . . . https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...s-evo-iii.html
