you think the evo will hold value like the supra?

My evo is gone now thanks to black ice and bad tires, and my parents dont want me to get another, plus insurance is almost 6k a year with me. im thinking of getting a g35 coupe 6 speed for now, but i really want a 8/9, no x even though its sexy. do you think in 3-5 years the value will drop on the evo's, or will it stick like the supra? its a car still in production, so thats something to think about.

No.

There's like, only 6-7K Supra (MKIV's) period, from '93.5-'98. Evos are still being produced and there were about 5000 imported in 2003 alone. Even though the new model is "very" different to enthusiasts, its not a dud, so regular depreciation still applies to older 4G63 models. Overall though, the car's hold their value well.

The evo is not like a classic where it holds value or increases as time goes on. However, it depreciates well in the sense that it doesn't lose all of its value like an american family sedan.

Here's how to make the Evo hold it's value:

Step 1) Mitsubishi Stop making them
Step 2) Everybody crash your Evo except for those with rare combinations. (SSL, SE, etc.)
