Hey everyone! Need your opinions!

Hey everyone, I'm somewhat new to the forums, I've bought some things off of here, but I've never posted due to the fact that anything I have to say about most topics, already has been said, or someone more knowledgeable than me is already on top of things.

Anyway, I need your help in deciding what to do with my car..

I have a 06 MR with 9000 miles.

I bought the car from a friends friend (stupid in the first place), and looked at some pics, and took his word for it. He had wrecked it, but it didn't look bad, and the price was right, because he said it scared him, and he wanted out of it because it was going to be nothing but trouble.

So my dilemma begins.

The car took a hit to the front, he hit a guard rail. It demolished the hood, driver fender, bumper, left headlight, radiator and intercooler.

All of which, was no big deal, is replaceable, and are things I probably would have replaced anyway.

The problem is, the frames bent. It was pushed back a few mm's (not sure on the exact number, can't see it with your eye, but a family friend stuck it on his laser frame rack, and its out of whack). Its pushed "right" and back.

Now I'm not sure what to do, I was going to build a decent power DD'er. However, with frame damage, I'm scared of what its going to do to its drive-ability. I'm debating to either turn it into a pure track car (gut it, the whole 9 yards) or to try it out as a DD. I can deal with odd tire wear, if thats my only problem.

So what do you think? Anyone know much about frame damage, or the repairing of it? I've had the car about a year now, and am growing tired of my shop weight, its doing well holding down my floor though, hasn't gone anywhere yet.

Thoughts appreciated!!

It's just tough to know what wear the bent frame will cause, especially with it being AWD. I'd strip it out and do it right if you've got the time and money to turn it into a track car. Otherwise Ebay it or part it out. Too complex of a situation to click one circle up there on your poll...

Good luck with whatever you decide!

frames can often be straightened using a frame machine and clamps, however it will never be as strong as a car that wasn't wrecked.
