2005 electric blue with GT30R and AEM EMS
Yeah the tune makes all the difference. That is why we drove from Kentucky to Chicago to get the tune. The STI is a good car. We just finished one that REALLY impressed us. It came in stock, and made 225 awhp. Its a 2005 model, and the ONLY things we added were a APS twin vent BOV, a APS 3.5" exhaust, a APS 70mm intake, and Snow performance methanol injection. After the MAF re-scale for the larger intake it made 358 awhp and 388 ft. lbs. The power comes on INSTANTLY since its still stock turbo. It reaches full boost (19 psi) at 2800 rpm. It is really surprising.
well found the problem the other day. I was doing my weekly once over and noticed a broken stud for the turbo manifold, then I noticed 2 broken ones. We took the manifold off to replace the studs and low and behold the manifold was cracked in 5 different places. I called Chris about it at AMS and he confirmed that it was definately holding the power back. So he said that the tune that was in the car was fine and I'm taking it to a dyno later this week or early next after the new manifold gets here, and see the difference. Its going to a Mustang dyno, the same one it made 368 hp and 345 torque at before the cams, and methanol and proper tune. He said to expect about 530-550 awhp.
