hey guys i have a supercharged tiburon v6 yess i know its a hyundai.lol ne ways i am a guy at heart and am looking for a evo in another 6 months to a year and am wantn some advice on what to look for and a sign of abuse. i am wanting a evo 7 to 9 in low twentys and i have found them all around oklahoma. i really want a MR. just help me out with any info. like can they handle alot of abuse. good cheap mods to do first and helpful hints.

ps i am wantin a all stock motor so i can do all mods myself

 

If your going to race the car then don't get the MR. You will lose power out of the 6-speed. The motor can handle the abuse but the tranny's will go soon after. If you want to build the tranny get a Shepherd Trans or Buschwacker Trans! The motor stock is good up to like 500whp+ but I would definitely upgrade the internals if you are going that route. I would get an intake and tbe. Then get a Walboro 255lph and get a tune. People say why get an expense TBE when you can get a Ebay TBE. That is totally up to you. Good luck on finding what you need and finding a stock evo!!!

 

thanks man and good to know on the MR dude. i am wantin roughly 400 whp cause its gonna be my dd. TBE what?? dont understand what ur meaning lol. but i am wanting to do minor bolt ons and some appearance mods like jdm tails maybe bumpers etc....
