so i have been looking online for a couple of days now for doing some basic mods to my evo IX i found an ijen intake with the upper and lower IC pipes package deal for $400 just wondering if its something worthwhile or a waste of time or any other suggestions?

you no, you might hear stuff like mine didnt fit, and mine was perfect. but the guy around the corner from me has an 03 and bought that and an hks bov and catback. without a tune and runs just fine. oh and it also fit fine, no problems. i think it looks nice because its shinny and doesnt look like crap, it add some hp if thats what your asking, as far as to how much, i couldnt tell you. all ive really done was an intake and i can slightly feel more power but nothing to brag about. and i thnik ima do what he did but tuned with more mods. he got crome. id get black. but i might go with a k and n intake with ETS Ic and piping. let me know how it works out

I ran that exact same set up the injen intake with U/L I/C piping I never had ANY problems with it, gave noticable gains too. Injen makes a good product definitely recommended

I have the same setup as well. Power gains aren't that great from what I've heard, but the sound is excellent

fits fine for me except where the intake filter is. its a very tight space to work in but not a big problem. But can't that price for all 3 pieces.

Never had any good first-hand experience with Injen stuff. I tried them first back around 2001 and was not impressed. Fitment was horrible. I do like how you can get their piping in black now; but apparently it's painted and not powder coated, so it scratches off flakes easily.

The UICP won't net you ant noticeable gains and their LICP is apparently one of the more restrictive ones available. The intake pipe apparently does a decent job at keeping the MAS happy, but I always see it bundled with other piping (probably the only wat they can sell their UICP and LICP).

Personally, I wouldn't buy it. You can go plenty fast on the stock airbox and piping. Use the money and get the Samco intercooler hose couplers, induction pipe, and some t-bolt clamps. You won't be disappointed with those parts.

i have done extensive work with this piping system to get it to fit perfectly. on some cars it seems to line up perfectly on some it it off just a hair. Check out my installed guide as well at common problem fixed with this injen pipping set. Now that i got it all suited and booted up right i love the piping system fts fine. the lower pipe is fine. Most people will tell you to the the upper injen pipe and intake the upper pipe is just for show now proven hp gains. the intake may give you 5 hp tuned. the lower pipe is all about your turbo spool i think the ets ver 2 lower pipe will give you better spool vs the injen pipe. i have the complete kit installed im happy with it. I thought about chaning the lower pipe but why i rather not redo the installation of the lower pipe again. here is my website so you can read the installed and fixing of the bov popping out and the midpipe blowing out

http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3123213

p.s you can buy the whole kit off ebay for 350 or GET IT FROM MEMBER on here for 200 or less i would go that route.

Injen intake with IC piping is the best bang for your buck hands down if you're looking to save money and have some power gains as well as some bling under your hood lol
