Welcome, fellow mustang brother. I too am looking to make the change within about a month, from a supercharged mustang GT with a bilstein suspension set up to a GSR. What do you think of your new MR? What year cobras are you coming from? How does it compare to your new set up?

Thanks for the info in advance.

Actually i have 2 Mustang Cobras. One is a 96 Renegade race car which has best 8.8 in quarter at 152. The other is a 97 Cobra with a built motor running a paxton supercharger at about 20 pounds of boost. It has dynoed 590 on a Mustang dyno and is a terror on the streets, however, it just isnt a car you want to drive everyday nor have the handling characteristics of an EVO.

For me the question is, how I can modify the EVO without harming this auto transmission. I love the transmission but from what I gather, it isnt designed for to much more horsepower.

Big change from a cobra..Those cars are tuff to drive..the X is a much better car hands down. Must be nice to have control of your car in the rain?
