Some questions before i comitt to buying an evo

Hello everyone my name is Josh and right now i am stuck between trying to pick the right evo for me. my first question would be are the evo 9 mr 6 speed transmissions rubish or good. my friend was telling me that they tend to fail a lot and people just swap the 5 speeds in them. my secound question would be in modifying an evo what tends to fail first other than the clutch so i know what to look for to see if its worn or ready to fail. thanks for answering my questions in advanced and im sure i will come up with a couple more

Well if your plan is launches and drag racing you should probably worry about breaking a tc or axle first.

The mr tranny is junk. Check for good tires cause they wear fast and are expensive

False, it all depends what he is buying his EVO for. As a DD I wouldn't trade my 6spd for the World.

It is not judicious to talk about street racing on these forums.

Just a "heads up."
