so i recently purchased an 03 Evo 8, how would i know what trim it would be? i mean the MR, GSR, RS?? please bare with me, i'm completely new to the mitsubishi family, so any help would be GREAT! Thanks

 

MR's are 6 speed. RS's don't have sunroof's. That should help!

 

It's a GSR

MR 05-06 Models

RS 04-06 (black door handles, mirrors 5spd trans, ect.)

this has been gone over a ton of times and you would have found it if you searched but BMS is correct...GSR it is...

 

ok yes mine is only a 5 speed and does have the Sun Roof... Again i apologize but like i said i'm farely new to this, but i will learn as i go on, Thanks once again

 

Also remember the RS has power NOTHING. No power for windows, mirrors or locks. Usually they do not have a spoiler or radios and speakers. No armrest or sound deading in the car the trunk will be bare and do not come ABS.

Do you also have leather and a stockish looking sub in the trunk? I wasn't sure if there were any SSL (sun, sound, leather) GSRs in 03. Could also be an aftermarket sunroof.

Anyway, the 03s also do not have a helical limited-slip front differential installed. The engines didn't have MIVEC, and you have the smaller hot-side on your turbo. Another little thing that you won't have is the cabin-air filter which I highly suggest installing.
