Does anyone know what this piece is? I have never really noticed it there before and it dosen't seem to be on the drivers side brakes.

It scrapes the rotor when the pads are worn down, makes a squeal so you know they are worn down. IIRC they should be on the inside pad on each side, but not sure since don't have stock pads anymore

"wear indicator" i believe is what they are called

 

Yeah that's what i was thinking. I guess i just never really noticed them there before. Thanks.
