oh u dont know the half of it... i didnt sleep the first night at all, nor the rest of the week, cause when i got my Evo 2 years ago, I went down myself to watch the being taken off the delivery truck. i saw how they took the plastic off the car, how they started it and warmed it up, and then how they ripped off the front lip (on the IX SE models) and the plastic undertray, as they backed it off the trailer (they forgot to take out one of the hooks the car was secured by).
so instead of going to me, the car went straight to the bodyshop, and i didnt get it for the next 2 weeks.... so no, no sleep for me

 

Not much people have really wiped them out, only a few people who launched it like crazy and probably more abuse, all this talk about bad clutch is total nonsense really so if you drive properly and don't abuse the car that much you should be fine.

 

Yeah that's what I noticed. the stock clutch on the VIII, and IX were the same if you launched them they would wear to bits. The rule was if you smelled the clutch after a launch it was wasted. Yeah I baby the X except in the turns, it handles so much better than my IX in the turns!!

 

+1 don't abuse it and you should get plenty of life from it.
