I think Mitsubishi dealerships need to reevaluate their employees in both technical and sales department. Great cars, bad employees!

This reminds me of the time I was parked across the street from a Honda dealer waiting for a friend to meet up with me to head out to a car meet..
I saw a employee get behind the wheel of a brand new 08 S2000... with a "potential buyer".
I checked the car before a few times out of curiosity while picking up parts for my dad from their parts department ( our shops just a few hundred feet down the street)...when Ilooked at it it had 89 Miles on it.. sticker'd at 34000.

So, as im sitting there, watching.. he jumps into the car with the customer ( employee was the drivier) Revs it to a good 6k and launches it RIGHT OUT OF THE DELAERSHIP onto Essington Avenue. He was going sideways for a couple feet before straightening out and just revving and going through the gears insanely hard.

I immediately had all my plans of buying a new car from a dealer crushed.
Much rather buy a used one.. I'll get the same thing basically, and save money.

This is why I never buy these so called " NEW" cars, hahaha.

^ LOL that's crazy. Good thing I bought my X with only 21 miles on the ODO, had much lesser chances of being test driven w/ a possible launch. =X

agreed but there are a couple good techs out there! They know who they are Elite Certified!
-- -- -- -- Uncertified Tech<~<~ for bein allowed to drive my evo for his socalled diagnostic... let alone work on evos at all!!! Not happyBut thankfully, everything will be taken care of shortly.

the shootin at the tech thing, totally joking! but still, not happy bout what happened, just glad i have an aftermarket extended warranty that allows me to use other repair shops other than the dealer. Highly Recomended! Just incase of an unforseen expensive tranny issue. I wish I could fix it myself!

its sad that you would beat on a brand new car with such little mile. on top of that you couldnt even launch the car the right way. That is just grimey. People who go test drive cars n beat on it n eventually never buying it cuz they cant afford it is just sad. Then you come on the forum n ask if its noraml that the engine bay is smoking......Lol Yeah its absolutely normal. You **** up the clutch by half its lifespan. Feel sorry for the next person buying a 30K+ car.

yeah neither does mine. And I hope they keep it that way. although they do allow test drives if you already own an evo. I guess that is fair cuz I never drove an evo until I bought it. *dreamt about it* but thats about it

The whole point wasnt the fact that its smoking. Its what hes doing to a brand new car. Theres something call breaking-in and not launching the car with 27 miles. To the OP, so wat was your whole point of posting this thread. If the smoking is true are you gonna buy the one you just test drove

I feel sorry for the Evo, a brand-new thing of beauty doesn't deserve to be abused like that.
lol then you have no clue what happens behind the scenes at dealerships

I said "if".

Well, that's probably the reason why that salesman still works there, eh? :P
