Just wanted to introduce myself and not be "that person" lurking around on the site. I just crossed over from the VW world to the world of . I owned an Eclipse back in high school so I wouldn't count that.
I came upon my Evo when I was shopping around for an upgrade from my 04 VW R32. I wanted performance, something I could bring to car shows, and something that I could drive to and from work everyday. So, I decided on an 08 Evo MR. I know some people are not a fan of it, but I don't miss my old manual gearbox. I have lots of mods already planned, and I also look forward to proving some people wrong about the potential the MR has.
I look forward to getting to know you all, hopefully you don't mind a new chick in your territory!
If you're in the North TX area hit me up! I am always down for meeting other owners and going to a show together.

I will make sure I get some pics up soon, the car is stock except for 20% tint and a drop-in HKS filter. I have to save some more $ till I can start adding some mods, my down payment cleaned me out!

 

I am ditto-ing the welcomes above. Also I'm stationed in Ft Hood, TX so not too far from DFW/Dallas area (2 hr drive I think?) You should see my rocking Eos! lol Reviews and my buddies at work tell me its a chick car *shrugs* I don't care. Its comfortible, convertible, and fun But looking at getting an Evo myself (mainly a 8 or 9 MR)

I almost bought a 9, but I drove the 10 and it was the right choice for me, especially for the price.

 

Since someone asked here is a picture of my car...of course it is nothing special, this is the day that I brought it home. I will have to take some new pics once I start adding some mods. The tint already has made a big difference.

I know everyone knows what a X looks like so I wont bore you with my stock pics.
