Percentage on a used car loan...

Hey everybody, I was wondering if anybody would like to share the lowest Used Car loan interest they got from any bank(s) and where they got it? I'm looking into either getting a New X GSR or a Used IX and would like to know the range of APRs out there.

Any replies will greatly be appreciated!!!

Yeah, that's what I've heard too, but maybe getting 5% or below will be quite difficult?

Wow, 7.2%? I think even at 6% APR it'll cost me around the same monthly for an IX MR for $23.5k and for a new X GSR.

Well, there's a couple of ways of looking at that and rationalizing things. First, as you've already touched on, is the payment.

Let's keep things simple without taxes, fees, etc:
Used IX: 23.5k x 6.9% x 60 months = $464.22
New X: 29k x 0% x 60 months = $483.33
Cheaper car is still cheaper per month , but not by much. And considering used versus new and full warranty the extra twenty bucks might well be worth it. But what will the X be worth as soon as you roll it off the lot? Probably about 6K less or more. If something happens and you have to sell the car quickly, you will be in a better equitable situation with the used car then the new one.

are you planning on getting the used car from a third party or from a delear? third party rates are pretty high compared to others.

Well, I was thinking about buying it from a private owner because I just found an IX MR close to where I live. How much of a difference will it make on the APR??
