New Guy Here!
New Guy Here!
Hey guys I am the new guy here and I would like to say I love the new Lancers.I might be getting one when I get my drivers license(money issues), but I was wondering if you guys could post some links to Lancer body kits and maybe some pics of em, also how do Lancers hold up, have you guys had any problems with the us Lancers? One last thing, the Lancer only has 120hp and I was wondering what cheap ways of boosting the hp to around 170-180 would there be?Intake, ecu, etc

im not asking for cheap mods because I am a newbie, Im asking because my money situation is tight, and for how cheap the parts I am talking about are, well intake and ecus range for a couple hundred, thats how cheap.
Talk to me Hazard666... I can hook you up for mods as cheap as they get. You can check my posts out in the vendor classifieds to see pictures of the best Lancer body kit around (in my opinion, but also in sales) as well as some prices on intakes, shortshifters, etc. The only full cat back exhaust I've found for the Lancer so far is the Buschur one, which I may be carrying shortly if Greddy doesn't get on the ball. You won't get from 120hp to 170hp with just that stuff though. You need turbo for that. Check out the vendor classifieds and/or email me at sales@conceptautocreations.com.
Welcome aboard. Good luck gettin' the car. If money's an issue then don't aim too high as far as HP. Simple bolt ons like an intake, bored tb and a cat back will be your best bets, but you'll fall sorely short of your 170HP mark. You WILL however notice the difference. My advice to you would be to buy some new tires (if not wheels and tires) because you'll spin them quite a bit on the stock Yokohamas. I have no idea what the Goodyears are like but I'd assume they're about the same as far as grip.
On a side note: I don't know where in Jersey you're from, but if you're in Bergen County I'd suggest avoiding Ramsey Auto Group. We've already had a few members complaining about their lack of service and unprofessional behavior. I don't mean that to sound like slander, just wordsof warning.

I suppose the page might be helpful in this guy's search...
