gasket on downpipe?
gasket on downpipe?
so i just got finishe removing the exhaust mani and o2 housing to be replaced with megan parts, but found no gasket between the o2 and the downpipe. Should there be one? i thought so, correct me if im wrong.
There probably is but you don't notice it. It's a dougnut gasket that fits around the inner tubing that comes out of the 02 housing.
It looks like this:

Also, this page shows the o2 housing with and without the gasket installed.

So you already had an aftermarket downpipe installed but are replacing it with a megan downpipe? If that's the case, then I guess there is a really good chance that the gasket was already removed to install the aftermarket downpipe that you are taking off.
My downpipe is from Buschur, and it didn't require a gasket. But after searching, it looks like you're supposed to re-use the OEM doughnut gasket for the Megan downpipe: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...837-donut.html
I guess you're going to need to find one.
