EVO IX for first car.
please do so
and let this be a lesson to you, those of us on this website do care about your well being. Enough to tell you that the decision that you have put in front of your parents is a stupid one and hope and pray that they are smart enough to see that.
don't get mad because we here are serious about our cars and don't dribble on about being mad jdm tyte yo. I hope you don't get an evo as a first car. YOU WILL DIE IF YOU DO. the immaturity and the fact that you had to come online to an evo forum suggests that mommie and daddie have probably said no and you wanted us to say yes. then you could print off tons of replies saying to them sure an evo is a good first car imbetween all the nomesayns and that's hot. first learn to drive, second, learn to wear your ballcap stright and not crooked to one side, and third, make sure your insurance is up to date for your impending idiocy.

LOL why are you guys such douches, I'm sure if you had the money to buy an Evo at his age you would've in an instant stop hating on the kid if he wants an Evo let him get it, and whats the since of telling him get a car then crash it wheres the sense in that you guys should give advice such as drive safely or some **** i know s guy that crashed 4 of his cars(Clio, Corolla, Evo 3, STI vers.5)...doesn't really teach you anything. I had an Evo V when I was 17 never crashed it and later sold it.
You can kill yourself in a slow car just as much as a fast car so it doesn't matter about speed it matters about common sense.I'd say just go to some track days learn from other people there and others from on this site you still have a year before you drive.
P.S stay away from OT its gonna rot your brain.

You asked for everyones advice and now you're getting defensive when we give it. Im with everyone else that is saying pick up something a little more tame to start. My very first car was a LeBaron turbo, followed by a GS-T and THEN my EVO.
Do whatever you want, but if you ask for peoples advice, don't get pissy when we give it.

i had a fast car at 16 a 98 eagle talon tsi awd, and loved every bit of it till i sold it after 9yrs...if the guy can afford one and appreciate the car then i don't see why he should not get one, can not hate on him because of the fact that his parents are buying it for him, i wish mine could have bought mine, but not everyone is lucky...
