I purchased my 03 evo mid May but after 2 weeks of having it i had to leave to south america and all i can do is read and try to figure out what i want to do with the car. The car is completely stock and for the most part i kinda want to keep it that way. i have a 3 year old and another on the way and its my DD. Im not new to the car scene or the evo or the 4g63. I have a 240sx that isnt what you call street legal and thats the point of that car. saying that i used to hearing my turbo spool up. Is there anyway i can get this with the evo but keeping as much of the intake stock.

If you just get a simple bolt on MAF adapter, and strap on a filter you should get the sound you want. That way you keep the whole intake tube and everything. Or some vendors on here make some really good intake kits with everything (pipe, filter, couplers, etc.) that keep the recirculating tube, and they work great with the stock ecu.
