Cams and a tune

I've been thinking about getting some cams for the evo lately. I have been previously tuned.
Now, once I install the cams is it safe to drive without a tune right after and do I have to get a tune once I get the cams installed?

Thanks

Yes you need a tune. Is it safe to drive after the cams are installed without a tune? Yes, if you stay out of boost and get a tune shortly thereafter.

For the most part are the hks 272's the best bang for the buck?
I pretty much only have bolt ons and stock turbo.

Yes HKS 272 were one of my top choices as far as cams, I went another route with some Kelfords...

HKS will definitely last you for when you want to make bigger power later on as well...

Kelford cams have been the hot ticket lately as they have proven to be one of the best performing cams on the market. Let me know which route you decide to do, I guarantee the best pricing on either HKS or Kelford

Yeah so it sounds like kelfords or hks. I will definitely try do some reading on the kelfords. Now, price wise are the kelfords similar to the hks?

All right, so I decided to go with the hks. Hopefully I'll get them put it in soon and make some nice Powa!
