Best MBC for being on a budget?

Ok so i was told that a MBC would be a good way to get some power. what is a good one to buy if your on a budget? also, how much can you turn the boost up safely until you can get a tune? or leave it at the stock psi and wait for a tune?

I would leave it at stock PSI until you can get a tune on it since you then have to look for knock and would be leaning the car out. The best MBC that I know of would be a Hallman. Relatively inexpensive as far as Boost controllers go, somewhere like $100 I think
