Never been to the strip, but my g-tech tells me 16.4 consistently, sometimes better, sometimes worse.

The G-Tech is super inaccurate just so you know. I borrowed the latest one out to take to the track with me the other night so I could compare it's readings with the actual times. I caliberated it on a flat surface and everything but ALL the numbers were consistently off. I would not rely on that gadget to give you accurate 1/4 mile times. I have always heard they didn't work too well but wanted to see for myself.

I know that it is not accurate. It seems to have degraded since new. I have had it about 4 years and it was close to test times in magazines for my '99 Civic Si. I have it more for g-forces, braking mostly, during autocross. I didn't think an Lancer could run a low 16 1/4. Just passing along the information.
