I have a few questions for the guys who are running Xs in the 11s.

I'm thinking about doing an 11sec Build on my 08 gsr, but since this is my DD reliability and streetability are also considerations. I'm starting to plan my build now, so just wanted some input.

1. Could I break into 11s with both my current and purposed mods?

2.What kind of power do I need to be putting down to achieve this?

3. What clutch would you guys recommend?

cams, injectors, fuel pump, ic, excedy twin, maybe get a 35R, I think thats good enough for high 11s

 

Why dont you save yourself the headache and call us so we can get it going.

I doubt you need an aftermarket turbo to break into the 11s. With the addition of cams, fuel pump, injectors, clutch and either an E85 tune or water injection system this should be easily achievable.

 

1. Call Sean - he can get you all the power you want

2. Just because you have power doesn't mean you can "go fast". People have gone 11's with less than 400whp.....some people CAN'T go 11's with 500whp. It all depends if you can drive....

Lastly - your proposed mods plus an intercooler should be easy 11's....Exedy twin HD is the clutch you should have.

i don't even think you need another turbo, just run 50/50 water meth

 

alll you need to do is add cams and a 255 and a tune. done.

 

edit-you will also need the driver mod.

Jersey/Empire: Admittedly I'm a mediocre dragger and have had a more skillful driver (a NHRA Pro) run my car two 10ths faster. But since you two are experts I'd really like to see your Dynos' and Slips'.

Stein: Agreed, but what I really wanted to see is examples of 11sec X's and what the average whp was, so I could plan a build based on a target whp. I realize this may not yield a 11sec run but would place blame on my driving if I did not.

I'd be lucky to hit high 13's with my G35.. LOL.
