But if you don't care how much it will cost, why don't you invest these infinite funds into something that is actually worth modding?

+1 beat me to it lol

find something that won't be a complete waste of money. there's plenty of other things out there you could throw money at and not care about the cost, but at the end of the day it would be more worth it than ricing out a lancer.

cause its fun working on something cheeper so if I brake it it wont cost me another 20 something grand or another 10 grand for a engine. This car will be a car I keep till it dies, thus the 240sx in about 3-5 yrs for speed. I know its weird but evo's are hard to find here in utah and when you do they are usually screwed up already thus why i hated the feel of it. And I certainly did not want a civic! plus this car it will only take me a year to pay off and then I can get any car since i wont be a first time car buyer.

we're not saying go get an EVO, just don't waste your money on a lancer. you could have gotten a Civic or Mazda 3 and been better off. those are far from an EVO, but a better DD and performance value than a lancer OZ rally.

Welcome. Damn so much hate. As I do agree wid everyone about it being as waste of money dumpin money into it. I owned an 03 OZ and all I did was intake it was like that for 3 years b4 I got rid of it. It is though a very reliable car wid good gas milage. If u are lookin to mod it u can do the 4G64 swap and that will open up more options for u than modding the current engine. For the price u got the OZ for u could've gotten a Ralliart though.

Ok. As long as u have a good spirit about it. Jus do not boost it, atleast not until u talk to a few ppl who actually have done so to get the pros and cons. I knew a guy who built a kit for $1500+ and was running wid stock Evos but thats because his brother owned a shop and was able to piece it together for cheap.

I m happy with this car cause I ll use it as a every day car. I couldnt do that to a 3000gt!!!!
heres a list of mods I m looking at doing (some are maybes) new timing belt, eagle gt tires, AEM cold air intake, paint rims, evo hood, evo body kit, hood pins(locks), alarm system, separate battery to power new stereo, adhesive tape for evo 8 look, catback exhaust, new stereo set, new pedals, evo wing, new stering wheel, brembo brakes or wildwood, removing badges and painting blue, fixing hole in carpet, strut bars front and back, supercharger, stand alone management system, light kit for under glow and engine lights, side front plate holder, intercooler, blue vinyal like in pic, hide all wires in engine. lots of work to get done.
Am I missing anything good that a NA Motor could use mind you my limit is 6 grand all together?

ive DD'd a stealth TT (same as a vr4, if u didnt already know) for over 2 years without a problem, and i havent been exactly easy on it. For some reason with 3000's theres a myth that they are wicked unreliable, which can be true if someone beat the snot out of it or modded it to tell, but for 9 g's you could have gotton a fairly low mileage (65-90k) one that was taken care of that would last forever as long as u treat it well and do your shceduled maintenance.... Anyways...you bought it and your happy, so far.

if your budget is 6 grand, i think your Way over...
And if u add the 6 budget to the 9 you spent, 15,000 total. you could have gotton a wrecked evo on co-part/some other place and repaired the body and had a very nice evo for that much. Anyways, i wish you luck.

most of us are actually being very welcoming, just helping a guy out, before he wastes his time and money.

its a nice car and a great DD, just not the right car for any modding

It sounds like you just want to spend money for the sake of spending money. Why not put it aside and save so you can buy a better car in a few years?

It sounds like you're basically trying to make the car look like an Evo. You have a lot of research ahead of you. There is no supercharger for the Lancer anymore. Brembo doesn't make a kit for the Lancer that I know of although they can if you send them specs (and a cheque for 3000$+). If your budget is 6000$, you'll be lucky to do half of the things you say. A good standalone with a tune is close to that already. Read the FAQ in my sig over and over again, run the numbers and see what you want to do. I honestly do not see the point in modding a car just for the sake of filling in time.
