I dont want to be rude but is it me or are there alot of stupid people out there that think they can get 7k-12k for rolling shells or crashed evos. Man you can get a evo with a motor with alot of miles granted for 12k. Now it seems to me this car is turning into the new civic for vultures trying to get rich quick off the popularity of the evo, a bunch of *****es ****ing up a good thing.

I just bought a nice 03 mint condition evo 8 with 44k miles for 14k, so you're pretty much dead on with your price estimate. I bought my buddies wrecked evo 8 (full working longblock still in it, just smashed front) for $3500. Could have sold the motor and had a free shell.

Damn you actually got a great deal, thats low miles. But yeah it kills me to see that these rolling shell threads lol, who in their right mind would withdraw 12,000 hard earned dollars for a shell and to think about it logically why even make stupid forsale threads selling totaled evos and ask anything over 4k lmao.

 

i agree, however i would pay 10 grand for a salvage title evo in GOOD operating form.. i almost bought this yellow rs for 10k with 30kmiles, but the title was a "total loss" title and my credit union wouldnt finance it , it was gonna get turned into a non streetlegal car anyway

lol thats kind of stupid to buy shells for more then 4k its going to cost you another 1695+core for built head or 3025 for built motor+core. Unless your replacing with all OEM parts which i dont see why you would be alot cheaper to buy used motor and head but still have to buy all accessories altenator starter wiring harness transmission etc. just adds up and up for a car that cant move for awhile. ill pass on that if thats the case buy a extremely high milage evo for that same price and fix that up least you can drive that one

 

I sold a shell for 500 lol.

If someone has a shell for sale for that price, it better be caged, chuted(for drag racers), dss 5.9 axles, small brake kits, etc etc if you know where I am going. There is a certain person on here that bought a wrecked rs off of here for 10k, stripped it and had the shell on ebay for 7500 buy it now lol. Its not (honda) people its people in general.

 

Yeah that dude took every damn thing worth money off the car and either sold them or kept and is trying to sell a damn wrecked empty shell for 7500, i seen a dude in miami on autotrader trying to sell a wrecked evo for 13k lmao i mean its gonna cost at least 5k to bring that car back and thats on the cheap side. But people need to stop that bull shiet. If your that hungry for money go sell dope lol.

 

WTF is the point of this thread? If you don't like the price of something, don't buy it. It's not hard to figure that out.
